Support - DSL Configuration (Macintosh OS X)
NOTE: Most computers NICs (Network Interface Card) are by default
setup for a DHCP connection so you should just try getting online
without checking any settings if you have not had your computer
on any type of network or high speed connection in the past.
To setup TCP/IP on Mac OS X for DSL use, go to the APPLE MENU located in the
upper left hand corner and select SYSTEM PREFERENCES
Go to the NETWORK CONTROL PANEL
Make sure it says BUILT-IN ETHERNET next to SHOW. If not, select that option
from the pull-down menu next to SHOW.
In the TCP/IP tab, Set CONFIGURE to USING DHCP SERVER.
You'll also need to type in the PRIMARY AND SECONDARY DNS:
in the DOMAIN NAME SERVERS area.
For SEARCH DOMAINS area put: tabletoptelephone.com
4. You're now ready to connect. Just quit System Preferences
(choose QUIT SYSTEM PREFS from the SYSTEM PREFS menu
(say YES if prompted to save changes) and open your browser - if your DSL
circuit is ready and functioning, you should be online.
